Dragway 42's 100 MPH Club For Street Legal Cars

For the second straight year, Dragway 42 is offering the 100 MPH Club for street legal cars.
The program, presented by Akron Horsepower, offers competitors the opportunity to bring their street legal car to
the track and attempt to break the 100 MPH mark during three separate qualifying sessions during each Tuesday night
event at Dragway 42.
Added to the program for 2008 is the presentation of a custom trophy each Tuesday night to the car that records the
highest MPH during the 100 MPH Club qualifying sessions of that night.

One of these beautiful, over 2 foot tall trophies is awarded every Tuesday night to the participant who
records the highest MPH of the evening from the 3 qualifying sessions for Dragway 42's 100 MPH Club for Street

What vehicles are eligible for the 100 MPH Club at Dragway 42?
Any year, make, and model of street legal car is eligible.
Vehicles must meet basic "street legal" requirements including but not limited to DOT tires (no race slicks
allowed however DOT drag radials are accepted), full exhaust system (no open headers), lights, signals, wipers,
etc.

When may I qualify for the 100 MPH Club at Dragway 42?
Qualifying sessions are offered at 7PM, 8PM, and 9PM at each Tuesday's Street Race / Grudge Race / Test &
Program at Dragway 42.
Gates open at 5:30 PM for each Tuesday event.

How much does it cost to attempt to qualify for the 100 MPH Club at Dragway 42?
Each car already entered into the regular Tuesday night program has the option to make a 100 MPH Club
qualifying attempt for just $1.00 per try.
Participants may attempt to qualify during any or all three of the sessions each Tuesday.

What do 100 MPH Club at Dragway 42 qualifiers receive?
Drivers who achieve the goal of reaching at least 100 MPH on their qualifying attempt will receive a 3 inch
square "2008 Member" decal for that vehicle; listing of the driver, his (or her) hometown, and the year,
make, and model of the vehicle that qualified for the Dragway 42 "100 MPH Club" in a special area of the
track website; plus the opportunity to purchase exclusive "100 MPH Club" merchandise such as t-shirts and
other items.

Once I qualify for the 100 MPH Club at Dragway 42, what else is left for me?
Each Tuesday night there is a competition within the competition as the top MPH car from the 3 qualifying
sessions of the evening is presented a custom trophy to recognize their achievement.
Drivers are also allowed to requalify an existing vehicle without risking their current ranking. If the same
vehicle and driver records a higher MPH than what was achieved on a previous qualifying session that night or
from a previous Tuesday in the same year, the new, higher MPH will be credited to the website listing.
A driver may also qualify as many different vehicles as they would like into the club.
