"Index" Class Racing Leads Off 3 Day Weekend Schedule
Friday, May 4, 2007
This weekend's racing action begins Friday night with the addition of "Index" class racing to the Street Race, Grudge
Race, and Test & Tune program at the Dragway 42.
At the track awards banquet held in late January, attendees noted that "index classes" would be added
to the regularly scheduled Friday Night test and tune program for select dates during the 2007 season. "The initial
announcement of index classes was greated with enthuasiam by a large number of our racers," stated Ehrmantraut.
"We received a number of calls and email messages concerning the program and after looking at some things that were
brought up by racers who wanted to participate we decided to expand on the originally announced classes."
The following elapsed time standards will be in place for the index classes beginning with the first of these special
events on Friday, May 4:
CASH 1/8th Mile Index Classes
5.70 - .4 Pro Tree (Same as QR/SC)
6.40 - .4 Pro Tree (Same as SR/SG)
7.00 - .5 Pro Tree (Same as HR/SS)
8.00 - .5 Pro Tree
TROPHY 1/4 Mile Index Classes
13.00 - .5 Pro Tree
14.00 - .5 Pro Tree
15.00 - .5 Pro Tree
16.00 - .5 Pro Tree
For those not familiar with "index classes", all cars in the class race heads-up with the first car to the finish line being the winner as long as the car has not run quicker than the ET index.
The Friday test & tune event car and driver fee is $10. On the designated "index class" Friday Nights, cash class racers will pay an additional $10 fee that will fund the 100% payback purse for the class for that evening.
Racers who wish to enter the trophy index classes will receive a free entry to that portion of the event with their paid test and tune entry.
Ten "Index Class" Friday nights are scheduled for 2007. The dates are May 4 and 18; June 8 and 22; July 13 and 27; August 10 and 24; and September 7 and 21.

the Wednesday Cash Class now offers $5 round money beginning with a racer's second round win of the evening and $5 buybacks into the
2nd round of eliminations.
Car and driver (or bike and rider) entry fee for the "Run Tuff" cash purse class is just $20.00
