Top and Mod Racers Have Chance To Win Up To
$1,000 At This Sunday's Summit SuperSeries Event
After two off weeks in the Summit SuperSeries, racers from a multi-state area are expected to be in competition
in one or more of the seven different race classes being offered this Sunday at Dragway 42.

With a chance to win up to $1,000 in the Milestone Services / Jeff the Plumber "Top" class or the Wind-It-Tight
Engines "Mod" class for just a $25 total car and driver entry fee, some racers are choosing to 'double up' on
their opportunities to cash in.
Both of these classes offer $1,000 to win with just 64 or more cars in the first round of eliminations, while still
guarantying a minimum of $500 to win with a lower car count in the class.
Runner-up payout in both Top and Mod is $300 with 64 or more cars in the class and $50 to the semi-finalists. With
under 64 cars in the class, the runner-up payout is still guaranteed at $200 in both classes.
Racers in Top, Mod, and Street classes earn $10 round money beginning with their 2nd round win of the day. The
class winners in all 3 of these classes also receive a $25 gift card courtesy of the Summit Racing Equipment Retail
Store in Tallmadge.
The 1/4 mile Pearl Road Auto Parts "Street" class offers a purse of $200 to win and $50 to runner-up while all
other racers are eligible for the previously mentioned $10 round money. The full entry fee for the 12.00-19.99
dial-in "Street" class is only $20.
Dragway 42's full compliment of a trio of Junior Dragster classes will also be in competition on Sunday. The Jr.
Fuel, Jr. Super Stock, and Jr. Stock classes offer the chance for youths from age 8 to 17 to be a part of the
great sport of drag racing for just a $20 car and driver entry fee.
Motorcyclists are not left out during Dragway 42's Summit SuperSeries events. The brand new Manual Motorcycles
"Trophy Bike" class offers both bikes and snowmobiles their own opportunity to battle for a 2 foot tall, custom
trophy for the class win and a smaller custom trophy for winning 2 or more rounds of eliminations this Sunday on
the $20 bike and rider entry fee.
Competitors are reminded that it is NOT necessary to be a member of the IHRA nor the track points program to
participate in the Dragway 42's Summit SuperSeries events, and earn the full posted event payouts.
Racers who compete in Dragway 42's track points program have the opportunity to earn additional cash awards of up
to $180 through the Summit SuperSeries and track based contingency awards programs in the six point classes in
addition to the $6,000 in year end awards in the Top, Mod, and Street classes. A total of 45 Dragway 42 point
racers will also be members of the 2009 edition of "Team 42" that will compete at the IHRA Division 3 Bracket Team
Finals held in Pittsburgh in September.
After 3 of the 12 scheduled Dragway 42 / Summit SuperSeries points events, class leaders include Alfredo Gordillo
in Milestone Services / Jeff the Plumber "Top", Jose Diaz in Wind-It-Tight Engines "Mod", and Nick Hastings in
Pearl Road Auto Parts "Street" class. The Junior Dragster classes are led by Katie Madonia in Jr. Fuel and Jaeden
Durst in Jr. Stock. Mike Matty, Jr. and Nick Vanerwyst are tied for the point lead in the Jr. Super Stock class
coming into this Sunday's action.
Gates open this Sunday at 9 AM. The first of three Junior Dragster time trial sessions begin at 10 AM, with big
car and motorcycle time trials beginning at 10:30 AM. Eliminations in the big car and motorcycle classes begin at
2:30 PM this Sunday.
Adult spectator admission this Sunday is just $10 while, as always, youths 14 and under are admitted free of charge
when accompanied by an adult.
