Dragway 42's 2009 Summit SuperSeries Season Opener
Sunday, April 26
The first of twelve special Sunday afternoon, Summit SuperSeries point events scheduled for the 2009 season will be run
on April 26th.
Seven classes will be contested, with the most expensive race entry fee being just $25.00
The Top, Mod, Street, Junior Fuel, and Junior Super Stock classes all offer guaranteed cash race purses. Competition is also
offered in trophy classes for motorcycle and junior stock racers.
Racers are NOT required to be part of the track's points program nor members of the IHRA to compete at any Dragway 42
Summit SuperSeries event however contingency awards at individual events and over $6,000 in cash and prizes in season
championship awards are available as bonuses to Dragway 42 point racers.
Memorial Day "Cheap Race Weekend"
Friday, Saturday, & Sunday - May 22, 23, & 24
The name says it all!
Participants will pay just $50 to cover the total entry fees for the entire weekend's activities including a test &
tune on Friday, a $1,000 to win event on Saturday, and a $1,000 to win event on Sunday.
The Memorial Day "Cheap Race Weekend" program will be a Box / No Box combo with the winner in each category advancing
to the $1,000 to win final round.
2009 Midwest SRT Nationals
Saturday, June 13

The 2009 Midwest SRT Nationals hosted by Realtune Performance and NEOH SRTs will contest the drag racing and show
portions of their Father's Day Weekend event at Dragway 42.
This year the Midwest Nats, open to all SRTs with all modern Mopars invited as special guests, will take place around
the Medina / West Salem Ohio area where dyno, track and accommodation facilities are available for use within 30
minutes of each other. Be sure to attend and participate as there will be a host of super shiny, record-breaking, dyno
raging cars there!
The event is open to All SRT Vehicles and modern (1985-up) Mopars including K Platform, Turbo Mini Vans, Daytonas,
Neons, Lasers, Trucks, Modern Chryslers, Modern Jeeps, Modern Plymouths, etc.
Three drag racing classes (Street, Stock Turbo, and Open) will be run at this event. The show portion of the event will
include awards for Best Interior, Best Exterior, and Best Engine Bay.

52nd Anniversary Racer Appreciation "Free Race"
and IHRA Drag Review Ironman Classic Event
Saturday, July 4
An April rainout has moved the track's 52nd Anniversary Racer Appreciation "Free Race" and IHRA Ironman Classic
presented by Drag Review Magazine to the Independence Day.
This event becomes the meat in Dragway 42's exciting 3-day, holiday weekend racing sandwich!
The July 4th Racer Appreciation event will feature four separate classes of competition (Box, No Box, Street Trophy,
and Junior Dragster Combo) with all four class winners taking home an IHRA Ironman trophy.
In addition, the Box and No Box classes at this event will both offer $500 to the winners and $200 to the runners-up.
For the 2009 Racer Appreciation event, there is no race entry fee. Participants pay just the regular $10 general
admission fee and may race in their choice of any single class for free.
4th Annual "Rock and Race" Nostalgia Event
Friday, Saturday, & Sunday - July 17, 18, & 19
Dragway 42's extremely popular "Rock and Race" event returns for a 4th consecutive year.
This award winning, full weekend event continues a tradition of focusing on vintage drag racing action plus
performances from multiple live bands.
All forms of the car culture are on display with the cruise-in, car show, car corral, swap meet, and vendors while the
burnout contest and pin-up girl contest should not be missed.
Ohio State "Junior Dragster" Championships
Saturday, August 8
The racers who are "the future of the sport" get their place in the spotlight as the Ohio State Junior Dragster
Championships again returns to Dragway 42.
This event will feature 3 classes of competition for 3 age groups. The Junior Fuel and Junior Super Stock eliminators
will be highlighted with $500 cash to win purses in both classes. Junior Stock racers will compete in a trophy class at
this event.
A pit party will be held on Saturday evening and all of the junior racers are invited to stay over and participate in
Sunday, August 9th's regularly scheduled Summit SuperSeries race day with its 3 classes of Junior Dragster competition.
Dragway 42 "Night Of Thunder" Plus

The title says it all. Enjoy a day and night of action with ground pounding, earth shaking jet and wheelstander
exhibition runs plus great drag racing competition in a $1,000 to win bracket class.
Labor Day, All-No Box "Cheap Race Weekend"
Friday, Saturday, & Sunday - September 4, 5, & 6

11th Annual "Halloween Thing" Weekend
Friday, Saturday, & Sunday - October 9, 10, & 11
The 2008 event was our biggest ever. Can we make it better for 2009?
Three big days of drag racing action, fun races, and all of the great Halloween activites return to Dragway 42 in this
11th Annual event.
Trailer decorating, costume contests, trick-or-treat, and more are joined with special activites such as Saturday
night's wheelie contest to make the "Halloween Thing" weekend the season's most exciting and enjoyable event for folks
from all age groups.
