Overnight rains have been replaced with beautiful, sunny skies and racers are already lining up in preparation for
Saturday's action at Dragway 42 which will feature the rescheduled IHRA Ironman Classic presented by Drag Review
Magazine as well as Dragway 42's Annual Racer Appreciation Event.

Participants will enjoy free race entry fee to their choice of 4 different classes in competition on Saturday with
the purchase of a regularly priced $10 general admission ticket.
Gates will open Saturday at 1:30 PM. Time trials for all classes will begin at 2 PM. Big Car eliminations will begin
at 7 PM.
Saturday's 4 race classes are:
Delay Box • (0-7.99 Dial-In; 1/8th Mile) paying $1,000 to win / $300 to runner-up
No Delay Box • (0-11.99 Dial-In; 1/8th Mile) paying $1,000 to win / $300 to runner-up
Street Trophy • (ALL-RUN!!! 1/4 Mile; DOT Tires Only; Footbrake Only)
Junior Dragster • (Minimum Dial-In based on competitor's license)
In addition to any cash purse, all 4 class winners will also be awarded an IHRA Ironman trophy.
Buybacks into the 2nd round of eliminations will be offered in all 4 classes. The buyback fees are just $20 for the
Delay Box and No Delay Box classes and $10 for the Street Trophy and Junior Dragster classes.
Sunday, May 11
Sunday afternoon racers in seven separate classes will be in 2nd Summit SuperSeries event of the season. Don't forget
that the purses have been increased for 2008 in the Dragway 42 Top class, Wind-It-Tight Engines Mod class, and the
World Cup Coffee Junior Super Stock class. Purses and entry fees remain the same for 2008 in the Vanson Leathers
Pro Bike, Akron Horsepower Street, Pat Catan's Craft Centers Junior Fuel, and World Cup Coffee Junior Stock classes.

On Sunday, gates will open at 9 AM with the first of 3 Junior Dragster time trial sessions at 10 AM. Big car time
trials begin at 11 AM with big car and bike eliminations at 2 PM. You do NOT have to be a member of IHRA or
Dragway 42 points program to participate in these events.
The seven classes in competition on Sunday are Top (0-7.99 Dial-In, Delay Box OK, 1/8th mile), Wind-It-Tight Engines
Mod Class (0-9.49 Dial-In, No Delay Box, 1/8th mile), Akron Horsepower Street Class (12.00-17.99 Dial-In, Footbrake
Only, 1/4 mile), Vanson Leathers Pro Bike (0-9.50 Dial-In, No Delay Box, 1/8th mile), plus the 3 junior dragster
classes of Pat Catan's Craft Centers Junior Fuel, World Cup Coffee Junior Super Stock, and World Cup Coffee Junior
Stock. The maximum purses have increased in 3 classes this year (Top, Mod, and Junior Super Stock).

Some early season rescheduling due to Mother Nature has turned this week's line-up into the most high profile one
so far this year with the our action packed Tuesday program including 100 MPH Club qualifying for street legal cars;
the second Dragway 42 "ALL OUT" event of 2008 on Friday; our 51st Anniversary Season Racer Appreciation Event and Free
Race paired with the IHRA Ironman Classic on Saturday; and the second IHRA Summit SuperSeries event of 2008 on Sunday.

Below you will find the details on all 4 of these big events this week.
Tuesday, May 6
1/4 Mile Street Race, Grudge Race, and Test & Tune with qualifying for the 100 MPH Club presented by Akron
Horsepower. A custom trophy is awarded to the top MPH car from the evening's three 100 MPH Club qualifying sessions.
$15 Car/Driver or Bike/Rider for participants - $10 Adult Spectators - Kids 14 and under admitted free.
Gates open at 5:30 PM, open track from 6-10 PM, 100 MPH Club qualifying at 7, 8, and 9 PM.
Friday, May 9
1/4 Mile Street Race, Grudge Race, and Test & Tune; optional 100% payback 1/8th mile gambler race sponsored by
Big 3 Racing; and the second Dragway 42 "ALL OUT" event of the season, presented by Akron Horsepower.
Dragway 42 "ALL OUT" is a bonus program, added free of charge for participants and spectators at the first Friday
night event each month. All time trial runs made through 8:30 PM are also "qualifying" runs for selection of the
Dragway 42 "ALL OUT" participants for the night. From the qualifying runs, the 8 closest matched cars will
determined and those 8 racers will face off later in the night for a $200 cash prize.
Gates open Friday night at 5:30 PM. All track activities begin at 6 PM and continue until at least 10 PM. The first
round of eliminations in the Big 3 Racing Gambler Race begins at 8:30 PM while the first round of the Akron Horsepower
sponsored Dragway 42 "ALL OUT" begins at 9 PM.
Participant admission is $15 for car and driver or bike and rider. Adult spectator admission is just $5.00 with kids
14 and under admitted free. Entry fee for optional, 100% guaranteed payout Gambler Race is $20.
